Charlie is the founder and CEO of NexGen Resources Corporation which manages procurement and handling of over 9 million tons of coal per year. Additional company disciplines include coal-based alternative fuel and clean coal technology commercialization, hydrogen-based methanol and ammonia development, and oil and gas resource development.
Previously nominated by the Secretary of Energy to the National Coal Council, Charlie is a former director of the National Coal Association and the Colorado Mining Association.
Charlie is a Professional Engineer and received his B.S. in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.

Thomas McCarthy

Tom has been working in corporate finance, project development, and private equity for over 30 years.
Most recently, Tom was a Senior Managing Director with Republic Financial Corporation and Vice President of Business Development for Tinuum Group, a private project finance development company focused on reducing emissions in the energy industry.
Since 2009, Tinuum developed projects which generated over $3 billion in US federal tax credits. Tom was instrumental the startup and growth of Tinuum and developing these projects with numerous Fortune 500 tax equity investors.

Dan is President and Chief Executive Officer of Elcan & Associates which specializes in the commercial real estate developments. Dan has completed over 400 projects across the lower 48 states including shopping centers, multi-family housing, assisted living, and self-storage.
Dan began his involvement in the energy business with synfuel projects in the late 1990’s. Since that time, Dan has been a partner and investor in several similar energy businesses.
Dan has also been a successful investor and executive in multiple oil and gas projects including functioning as CEO of Oil Shale Exploration Co, LLC.

Rick Dowd

Rick has worked in the energy industry and project finance for over 30 years. Rick was most recently CEO of Tinuum Group and Tinuum Services after serving as CFO for the same entities.
Previously he was a Partner for ten years with Denham Capital, a private equity firm that invests in power, energy and mining. Prior to that Rick had a multi-year investment banking career with First Boston, DLJ and Kidder Peabody.
Rick has a MS from the Sloan School at MIT and a BS from Clarkson University.

Matt Lauer

Matt Lauer is a finance and business development executive with over 15 years of experience in clean energy and emerging environmental markets. He has extensive experience in structuring and executing complex infrastructure and decarbonization projects across carbon capture and sequestration (CCS), refined coal, and solar energy.
Most recently, Matt has been involved in developing large-scale CCS projects, including leading project origination, negotiating agreements with emitters and landowners, permitting and Class VI well development, and managing commercial and financial structuring. He has worked closely with utilities, industrial emitters, and capital providers to advance carbon management strategies, leveraging federal incentives like the 45Q tax credit.
Previously, Matt served as Vice President of Carbon Capture at Foss & Company, where he established and led the firm’s CCUS platform.

Paul's professional expertise spans financial systems, capital investment, research and development, and healthcare leadership. He holds an undergraduate degree in accounting and a doctorate in physical therapy.
Paul’s career includes raising and investing fund capital in financial markets, managing a therapy department at a skilled nursing facility, and growing a mobile physical therapy company by developing new physician and patient relationships. Now, in the energy sector, he leverages his diverse background to research, develop, and manage projects and relationships for Reliant CCS, focusing on development and carbon sequestration initiatives.

Roger Falk

Mr. Falk is a petroleum geologist with over 30 years of experience. He has worked with Majors, large independents, and smaller privately held companies, including ARCO and EOG Resources.
He worked on several projects to unlock horizontal reserves in key geologic formations that have become household names such as the Bakken, Niobrara, and Turner, and is an expert in geologic interpretation across most major basins.
Additionally, he's developed oil and gas fields throughout off-shore Texas, and explored the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Roger received his BS and MS from Colorado State University. He is a member of the AAPG, RMAG, and is a Board Licensed Geologist in several states.

Scott is an expert in Petra Geologic Interpretation and Global Mapper GIS and has experience in each of the Rocky Mountain Basins -- primarily Green River and Denver-Julesburg.
His professional career includes a position in the Geology and Geological Engineering department at the Colorado School of Mines as a Research Associate, and Marathon Oil's research center.
Scott assists in exploration, prospect generation, marketing efforts, and oversees well site processes and controls pertaining to State and local regulations.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Information Systems. He is a member of the Rocky Mountain Section of the Society for Sedimentary Geology (RMS-SEPM).
