Project Details
Reliant completed a third Front End Engineering Design (FEED) at a coal-fired power plant in the U.S. Dakota region. This FEED demonstrated a ~95% CO2 capture rate with no costs to the power company or its ratepayers. The CO2 capture plant would integrate with the power station in a manner that sustains power production autonomy and reliability.
Reliant completed this successful FEED in Dec 2025 with Sargent and Lundy (S&L), a world engineering leader in power generation and carbon capture. Reliant is currently working with S&L to progress to final engineering plans for the project.
With this project, the power plant avoids regulatory emissions risk mitigating early closure and allowing power production for its full useful life. Subsequently, Reliant supports the power company enabling clean affordable power and the community with continued employment opportunity at the power plant and local coal mine.
