Project Details
Building on previous successful Front End Engineering Design (FEED) studies, Reliant completed a successful FEED for a coal-fired power plant in the mountain west that demonstrated viable ~95% CO2 capture utilizing cryogenic carbon capture technology.
Reliant once again contracted with Sargent and Lundy (S&L) to complete the FEED study leveraging the company’s immense experience in the power generation industry and carbon capture integration. The FEED study was completed in Dec 2025.
If this project proceeds to construction and CO2 capture, the power company, local community, and ratepayers will benefit. Reliant’s projects aim to sustain baseload power plants that provide jobs to local communities in power production and fuel mining.
Reliant’s FEED successfully offered a plan to capture ~95% of the power plant’s CO2 emissions at no cost to the power company which in turn keeps power prices affordable for years to come.
