Reliant is commencing a joint feasibility study and subsequent FEED study with a power company located in the U.S. southwest. Working off of proprietary integrated design, the goal of this study is to create an integrated coal-fired power plant with carbon capture facility.  Initial power plant design with CO₂ capture allows for optimization of power generation and carbon capture with shared components, efficiencies, and costs.  

This integrated design aims to create a baseload power plant with an emissions profile cleaner than that of any active fossil-fuel power plant in the United States. Project planning is rapidly developing with feasibility + FEED study commencement expected in 2026.
